AKIN Travel Loyalty Program — Customer Terms & Conditions

1. Application of the Terms & Conditions
AKIN Travel is provided by AKIN Travel Pty Ltd (ABN 43 686 493 201) (AKIN, we, us or our). AKIN Travel partners with accommodation providers around the world (Partners) and allows you to accrue loyalty points and benefits when you book a stay with a Partner property (AKIN Travel Loyalty Program).
This document sets out the terms and conditions applicable to a customer’s (you, your) use of the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program (Terms). These Terms, together with our privacy policy, govern your use of and access to the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program.
By becoming a member of the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as updated from time to time.
2. Registration as a member
In order to access the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program, you will need to become an AKIN Travel member (Member) and establish an AKIN Member account (Member Account). To register as a Member, you will need to complete the registration form on the AKIN website (https://akintravel.com/en/signup) including submitting your first and last name, email address, telephone number and any other information requested. You may only have one Member Account.
When you sign up to the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program, you will need to authenticate your Member Account via email verification and/or passkey. You may be required to choose a password. If so, we encourage you to choose a complex password, including a combination of words, numbers and symbols. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
The AKIN Travel Loyalty Program can be accessed via the AKIN Travel Website (https://akintravel.com).
3. Eligibility and fees
The AKIN Travel Loyalty Program is accessible by any individual person over the age of 18 years with a valid email address. Corporate entities or organisations may not be Members.
Entry into the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program is free of charge.
4. Membership number
Once you are registered as a Member, you will be allocated a unique membership identification number/code (Membership Number). Your Membership Number is personal to you, and should not be shared with others. You will need to provide this Membership Number when dealing with our Partners and us in relation to your Membership.
5. AKIN Points
For the purpose of this condition 5:
- Origin Partner means the Partner that originally signed you up to the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program. The Origin Partner will be linked to your Member Account indefinitely, and may receive economic benefits including commission payments from AKIN indefinitely;
- Origin Stays means an overnight stay (irrespective of length of stay) at a location hosted by your Origin Partner; and
- Network Stay means an overnight stay (irrespective of length of stay) in a property which is operated by a Partner within the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program.
When you book a stay with a Partner through the AKIN Platform (where available) or directly through our Partners, you will accrue non-transferrable loyalty points (AKIN Points). AKIN Points will not accrue for stays with Partners that are booked through other platforms or partners.
You will accrue AKIN Points in accordance with the level of Membership you have reached (Membership Tier):

Accrual of AKIN Points is automatic when you book a stay with a Partner through the AKIN Platform. For bookings made directly through our Partners, you will need to enter your Membership Number at the time of making your booking or notify the Partner on arrival to ensure you receive AKIN Points for the Booking.
AKIN Points accrued for Partner spend will be credited to your Member Account within 7 days of the end of your stay with the Partner. If you are concerned that AKIN Points have not been correctly credited to your Member Account, please contact us by completing the form available at https://akintravel.com/en/contact.
We, and our Partners, may require proof from you in order to credit AKIN Points. You agree to provide this evidence upon request.
Where Partner spend is made in a currency other than USD, the currency conversion for AKIN Points will be calculated by AKIN using the applicable USD daily spot rate published by Exchange Rate API at the time of the transaction.
Only a whole number of AKIN Points will be accrued. The AKIN Points to be accrued will be rounded up to the nearest whole Point.
AKIN Points will accrue on accommodation bookings only.
AKIN Points are personal to you and cannot be transferred. Any use of AKIN Points in a manner that is inconsistent with or not expressly permitted by these Terms will constitute a breach of these Terms.
AKIN Points have no cash value. In no circumstances will you be compensated or paid for the value of your AKIN Points.
6. Membership Tiers
We allocate members to Membership Tiers based on the number of AKIN Points held, the number of Origin and Network Stays, and other partner-specific rules. Your status and Membership Tier is based on the number of AKIN Points earned, or measurements of those other activities, during the 12 month period commencing on the date of successfully becoming a Member of the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program (Membership Year).
AKIN Points will not expire during your Membership Year.
Once you become eligible for a Membership Tier, you will be entitled to remain in that Membership Tier for the balance of the existing Membership Year, plus the following Membership Year.
For example, if you become a Member on 3 June 2026, then earn 550 AKIN Points by 10 December 2026, you will be moved from “A” Membership Tier to “K” Membership Tier on 10 December 2026 (or around that date). From the date your status and Membership Tier is updated (around 10 December 2026 in this example), you will be entitled to receive “K” Membership Tier benefits, including if you are mid-way through a stay with a Partner. You will be entitled to remain in “K” Membership Tier for the rest of the Membership Year (until 3 June 2027) plus the following 12 month period. Even if you don’t accrue any further AKIN Points in that period, you will remain in “K” Membership Tier until 3 June 2028.
If you do not earn enough AKIN Points or undertake enough other qualifying activities to maintain the relevant Membership Tier at the end of the next Membership Year, you will be dropped down one Membership Tier.
In the example above, if you haven’t accrued any further AKIN Points by 3 June 2028, you will be moved down from “K” Membership Tier to “A” Membership Tier.
We reserve the right to update the eligibility requirements (and AKIN Points) required for each Membership Tier, from time to time.
7. Using AKIN Points to receive AKIN Benefits
Once you become a Member and start accruing AKIN Points, you will become entitled to receive benefits from the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program (AKIN Benefits).
AKIN Benefits for each Partner are determined by the Partner. Benefits are made available by the Partner in its discretion, based on Membership Tier. Benefits may include, by way of example, free upgrades, late checkout, exclusive offers or access to additional facilities.
AKIN Benefits can only be redeemed during the relevant stay with our Partner and cannot be redeemed outside of the booking timeframe. Please remind the team member at the time of check-in that you are a Member of the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program in order to redeem your AKIN Benefits.
The Member must be present throughout the booking to be entitled to earn AKIN Points and receive AKIN Benefits.
Each Partner is responsible for the redemption of AKIN Benefits. AKIN is not responsible for and will not be liable for any redemption of loyalty benefits, or a Partner’s failure to honour an AKIN Benefit. However, if you consider that the Partner has not fulfilled their agreed obligations in connection with the AKIN Benefits, please let us know.
The Partner may apply terms and conditions to its provision of the AKIN Benefits in the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program. We will use our reasonable endeavours to notify you in advance of any such terms (to the extent we have been made aware of such terms), but ultimately, the AKIN Benefits are provided by the Partner and the Partner may, in its discretion, apply such terms as a condition of supplying the AKIN Benefits. You understand that this is a condition of receiving the AKIN Benefit.
If you make a booking with a Partner and then subsequently cancel or reschedule the booking, no AKIN Points will be earned and no AKIN Benefits will be provided.
AKIN Benefits are only made available to Members. No other person may claim your AKIN Benefits on your behalf.
8. Partners
The current list of Partner properties that participate in the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program is available here: https://akintravel.com/en/stays.
If a Partner leaves the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program after the booking for a stay with the Partner has been made, no AKIN Points will be accrued for the stay, and no AKIN Benefits will be made available during the stay. We will use every effort to give you notice of this prior to the date of your booking with the relevant Partner.
AKIN is an aggregator of loyalty benefits offered by individual Partners. AKIN has no responsibility or liability for the redemption of AKIN Benefits.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AKIN excludes all liability arising in connection with any act or omission of the Partners in connection with the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program, the rewarding of (or non-supply of) any AKIN Benefits and your stay with the relevant Partner.
When you sign up to AKIN, the Partner through whose unique sign-up link or QR code you register becomes your ‘Origin Partner’. This attribution is permanent for the lifetime of your Membership and does not change if the Partner is acquired, rebranded, or changes ownership. If your Origin Partner exits the AKIN network entirely, your Member Account reverts to generic AKIN membership.
9. AKIN Platform
You will be able to access your Member Account details and other information about your AKIN Points and AKIN Benefits through the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program platform on the AKIN Travel Website (AKIN Platform).
10. Third party sites
The AKIN Travel Website may contain links to third party websites that are not under our control, including our Partner sites. AKIN is not responsible for, and makes no express or implied warranties with regard to, the information and material on these sites and the underlying policies regarding use and privacy. If you access third party websites through the AKIN Travel Website, you do so at your own risk.
11. Communications with AKIN and Partners
You may access information about your Member Account using the AKIN Platform.
We may send you information, updates or documents related to the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program by:
- notification (including push notifications) through the AKIN Platform;
- email to the email address recorded in your Member Account; or
- SMS or other messaging service to the mobile number recorded in your Member Account.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program including the AKIN Platform and related services are provided by AKIN “as is” and “as available”. AKIN makes no warranties of any kind either express or implied, except as set out in these Terms.
We do not warrant that access to the AKIN Platform will be uninterrupted or that the AKIN Platform will be free from errors, glitches, bugs and viruses. We reserve the right to make the AKIN Platform unavailable at any time in order to carry out maintenance and upgrades.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable to you in respect of any loss or damage you suffer in respect of your use or access or attempted use or access to or reliance on the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program or the AKIN Platform, unless such loss or damage is directly caused by our negligence. Without limitation, this includes special, incidental, exemplary, consequential, or indirect damages for any lost profits, business, revenue, goodwill and/or damages to device and data that result from or relate to these Terms.
Where our liability to you cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to correcting any mistake or error and, where necessary, re-performing our obligations or re-supplying any relevant services correctly.
You must reimburse and indemnify us against and in respect of any loss, expense, damage, claim or demand suffered or incurred as a result of you breaching these Terms.
However, you will not be liable to us to the extent any loss, expense, damage, claim or demand is suffered or incurred as a result of the fraud, negligence or wilful misconduct of us or our officers, employees, contractors or agents.
13. Privacy
The current version of our privacy policy, as updated from time to time, is available on our website at: https://akintravel.com/en/privacy (Privacy Policy).
We use the personal information you provide as part of your Member registration (and any personal information provided subsequently), to manage and administer your Member Account. This information is shared with our Partners to enable them to administer the AKIN Benefits and participate in the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program. Partners may also require you to consent to their own privacy policies or terms when you book, or stay with the relevant Partner. Your communications with the Partner will then be covered by the Partner’s terms and conditions and privacy policy.
We may need to share your information with our service providers who assist us to manage the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program. Any such sharing of personal information will be consistent with our commitments given to you in our Privacy Policy.
You will be able to elect how we communicate with you (for example, by email and/or SMS). We will only send you direct marketing communications where you have expressly opted in to receive them. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional communications necessary for your Membership (such as booking confirmations and account alerts).
14. Intellectual property and user generated content
We are the owner of, or the licensee of, all intellectual property rights in the AKIN Platform. These works are protected by copyright and other laws.
When using the AKIN Platform, you must not:
- reproduce, download, duplicate, display all or any parts of the AKIN Platform in any form except where such reproduction is essential for your own personal, non-commercial use of the AKIN Platform; or
- attempt to reverse assemble, reverse compile, or otherwise obtain or attempt to obtain the source code of the AKIN Platform, except as specifically permitted by law.
When submitting content, comments or reviews on the AKIN Platform (User Content), you must:
- make sure you have stayed at the relevant Partner property prior to submitting a review of that property;
- not post comments or reviews that are unlawful, abusive, intrusive on another’s privacy, defamatory, threatening, hateful or otherwise inappropriate; and
- not impersonate another person or organisation or misrepresent an affiliation with another person or organisation.
In order to protect your personal information, safety and security, we encourage you to not include any personal information in your User Content that makes you readily identifiable to other users of the AKIN Platform. This includes but is not limited to your telephone number, home address and the details of your current location / stay.
You retain all rights you hold in your User Content.
By submitting User Content on the AKIN Platform, you grant to us a non-exclusive, fully sub-licensable, non-revocable, perpetual, worldwide, fully-paid, royalty free licence to use, modify, publicly display, broadcast, publish, reproduce and distribute such User Content in any and all media without the requirement to make payment to you or seek your permission.
You waive all moral rights in and to all User Content that you post, upload or otherwise submit to or through the AKIN Platform.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own all of the User Content submitted by you on the AKIN Platform and otherwise have the right to grant the licence set out above at condition 14.6; and
- the posting of any User Content you submit, and our use of that User Content does not and will not violate the privacy rights, copyright, trade mark rights, patents, contract rights or any other intellectual property rights or other rights of any person or entity.
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that does not comply with this condition 14 in our absolute discretion.
15. Suspension and termination
You may delete your Member Account at any time via the AKIN Account Deletion Request Form available at: https://akintravel.com/en/delete-account.
We may suspend your access to the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program and the AKIN Platform at any time without prior notice, including, without limitation, if we suspect that the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program or AKIN Travel Platform is being accessed or used otherwise than as expressly permitted by these Terms.
We may disable, suspend, remove or terminate your Member Account and access to the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program at any time without prior notice, if we find that you have:
- committed a material breach of these Terms;
- breached these Terms on two or more occasions; or
- been fraudulent in connection with your Member Account;
We reserve the right to disable, remove or terminate your ability to access the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program or AKIN Platform, or cease to offer the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program, a feature within the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program or a Partner from the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program at any time for any reason. We will advise you in advance of doing so, to the extent it is reasonably practicable for us to do so.
Upon your Member Account being disabled, removed or terminated, you will lose all AKIN Points accrued and your Member Account will be removed from the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program. You are not entitled to any compensation for lost AKIN Points upon termination or suspension of your Member Account as AKIN Points have no monetary value. We will retain information as set out in the Privacy Policy.

If you have any complaints or disputes in relation to these Terms or the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program, please contact us by completing the form available at https://akintravel.com/en/contact. Any complaints or disputes in relation to a Partner’s failure to honour an AKIN Benefit should be directed at the relevant Partner.
You agree to raise any complaint or dispute in relation to the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program, these Terms and the AKIN Platform with us. You agree to give us a reasonable opportunity to consider, respond to and resolve your complaint or dispute, before you initiate any legal proceedings, other than legal proceedings for urgent or injunctive relief.
17. General
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the relevant condition shall be read down only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable. If the provision is unable to be read down, it is severed from the remainder of the Terms without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Terms, which remain in full force and effect.
A failure by us to assert or enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right, nor will any such failure be taken to be a further or continuing waiver of that term or right.
We may assign or otherwise transfer or deal with any of our rights and obligations under these Terms at any time without your prior consent. Any assignee will be subject to these Terms as if all references to AKIN or us were to the assignee. If you consider the assignment to be detrimental to you, you may cease using the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program and terminate your Member Account.
We may revise these Terms including suspending, adding or amending a feature within the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program or our Partners at any time for any reason. The revised version of these Terms will be effective on the date we specify. You will be notified of changes to these Terms by email and we will also send you a version of the revised Terms by email (using the current account details recorded in your Member Account). If our changes to the Terms reduce your rights or increase your responsibilities, we will provide you with at least 30 days’ notice of the changes. If you continue to use the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program after any changes to these Terms become effective, you will be subject to the updated Terms. If you do not agree with any changes to the Terms, you may cease using the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program.
We give no warranty as to the continuing availability or operation of the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program and may terminate or suspend the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program at any time. We will provide you with as much advance notice of any such decision as reasonably practicable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will have no liability to you for such suspension, cessation or termination of the AKIN Travel Loyalty Program including compensating for AKIN Points or AKIN Benefits.
These Terms are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and of the Commonwealth of Australia.
